OKLAHOMA CITY – This fall, for the first time ever, state employees will be able to choose a health plan with a discounted premium simply by taking one small step toward better health. Today the Employees Benefits Council (EBC) announced rates and details about HMO, dental and vision plans that will be available to Oklahoma’s state employees and their families in 2012.

Today the state’s benefits office, the Employees Benefits Council (EBC), approved revised rates for HMO health insurance plans available to state employees and their families. The revisions came after the Oklahoma Supreme Court, on August 24, ruled unconstitutional legislation passed earlier this year creating a one-percent fee on insurance claims paid by providers. The revised rates will replace the rates announced August 20.

HealthChoice Changes Pharmacy Benefits for 2012

On December 16, 2011, the Oklahoma State and Education Employees Group Insurance Board (OSEEGIB) adopted changes to pharmacy benefits for HealthChoice members in 2012. The changes are based on an agreement with Pharmacy Providers of Oklahoma (PPOk).

OKHealth Wellness Program Upgrade

The OKHealth wellness program continues to be available for FREE to all active state employees. It focuses on healthy nutrition, physical activities, stress management, diabetes management and cardiovascular disease prevention and control. The new-and-improved program also offers ways to deal with other problems that are keeping you from the healthy life you want and deserve.
